Books to read if you're planning a vacation in "Barron", sorted by average review score:

Cold Light
Published in Audio Cassette by Arrow (A Division of Random House Group) (10 April, 1995)
Average review score:

Another solid oneAnother solid entry in the Charlie Resnick series, this one mostly about the search for a missing woman after a New Year's party. The mystery is a little less tricky than others in the series, and instead is a little more interesting in the personal realm.

Computer Science (Barron's Ez-101 Study Keys)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (July, 1991)
Average review score:

Brief, concise, but a bit datedI'm a newbie to CS so this was just about the right size book for me (138 pages). It's plain, and for the most part, in simple language. I think Dr. Covington should update his EZ-101 Study Key for the late 90's.

Creative Problem Solving (Barron's a Business Success Guide)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (March, 1993)
Average review score:

Short Reference BookSince I finished reading this I keep it in the back of my pocket. I refer to this book when I want to get my team or my clients motivated in brainstorming sessions. Dr. Noone had a very clear and humirist fashion of explaining his basic guidelines of "Problem Solving": 1. Mind Maps 2.Option generation 3.Fishhooking and 4. Analogies to bring out creativity. From your creative thoughts Dr. Noone would explain how to be able to utilize those thoughts with various methods as well how to be able to take action on the solutions. I recommend this book for a quick and easy read to be prepared for brainstorming sessions as an individual or as a team.

Cubs (Animal Babies Series)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Juveniles (15 March, 2000)
Average review score:

Cubs (animal babies series) Beautiful PicturesThe beautiful pictures captured my eye when I first saw this book. I am a preschool teacher and was looking for a picture book of bears. The book was very informative, however they did imply that koala's are bears and they are marsupials. They carry their young in a pouch like kangaroo's. I did write to the author and publisher and they mentioned they would correct this in their reprints of this book. If they do correct it I would highly recommend this book.

Delegating Authority (Barrons Business Success Series)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (July, 1992)
Average review score:

Fine quick read on delegating tasksThis small book (95 pages) is a great look at delegating - the barriers and benefits, exactly how to set goals, how to communicate, and how to track delegations. It is aimed largely at the supervisory level, and is more task oriented. Thus, it is probably not as useful for an executive wanting to delegate large responsibilities, but still is a good basic look at delegating.

Edith Wharton's the Age of Innocence (Bloom's Notes)
Published in Paperback by Chelsea House Publishing (December, 1998)
Average review score:

The most confusing book I've ever readWell, I am a 17 year old high schooler, and I just read "The Age of Innocence", I don't think people of my age should be reading this kind of books, most of my people in my English class didn't understand like half of the vocabulary, I personally didnt understand some of it. I wouldn't recommend this book to any young people, it involves lots of imaginary love scenes that I dont think people in my age understand.
